This work of gathering America's Ideas on the salvation of the domestic automotive industry began in early December of 2008. Tens of thousands of ideas and suggestions were posted on change.gov, the Transition Team website for the Obama/Biden Administration.

Many of them were impractical or unworkable and many of them were brilliant and inspired. Dozens of volunteers poured through thousands of posts to find the best of the submissions and suggestions for the institute For Advanced Practices In Advertising (iapia.org) for inclusion on http://thinkhardamerica.wordpress.com.

Those selections were made available to be reviewed, improved and expand upon. Our goal was to refine these ideas into opportunities for America to grow. As the Automotive Bailouts became a reality and taxpayers
became shareholders as well as stakeholders these ideas began to increase in importance.

Hense the need for this website was realized by IAPIA and so it came to pass. We sincerely hope that the creative process does not stop here, but continues to expand as you contribute your thoughts and innovative suggestions to this critical process of rebuilding one of America's greatest industrial enterprises.

Each suggestion and idea will be reviewed and refined and posted. They will also be shared with the Brian Deese of the White House Automotive Task Force and forwarded to the office of Fritz Henderson, the new CEO of General Motors. Think hard America. We need your ideas now more than ever. To comment on this idea, click here.
